About us
We are a small, family-owned business operated by my husband and myself. We are located in Central Maine with our two sons, dogs and a cat.
Pepe and Carols originally started as an antique and vintage venture. Over the years we have evolved from repurposing lighting and furniture into what we are today. We are always incorporating elements of old styles in with our products.
Our Process
Each order is handmade as the order is placed. All items are made us of unlacquered brass components and are then assembled and cleaned before shipping. Our polishing process is a hand polish that requires a little more time and effort but really ends up with a beautiful shine. All light fixtures are made from UL rated materials and are tested for safety before shipping.

How do you clean the items?
All of our brass items are a raw, unfinished brass that will tarnish and age over time. We suggest using Brasso to remove any tarnish to our natural unlacquered brass. Parker & Bailey Brass/Copper polish works great for our polished unlacquered brass finish.
For all other finishes they can be wiped down with soap and warm water, they will not tarnish. All glass can be cleaned with any household glass cleaner.
What is the difference between Natural & Polished Unlacquered Brass? Both finishes are made from solid brass. The natural unlacquered finish does have a matte/brushed look. Our polished version is put through a longer cleaning process to achieve a glossier look.
What types of bulbs should I use?On all of our light fixtures we suggest LED light bulbs. While they may not always be the most affordable at the time... they last much longer than standard incandescent bulbs and put off less heat. They are also the most Eco-friendly option which is the biggest selling point for us. We like the look of G16.5 globe bulb when paired with our bare bulb fixtures.
Do you have more of a certain item available or will you get more in stock?Unfortunately not. Our vintage finds or antique lighting are limited quantities. We are always looking for great light shades but they are usually not something we can get multiples of.
